Eco-Steward Team-Building

San Francisco, California

Help build environmental health, urban greening, and community stewardship at one of our Native Plant Nurseries or Candlestick Point State Recreation Area. Our team-building workdays help corporate employees and other groups connect with their colleagues, community, and environment.

Literacy for Environmental Justice provides a fun, rewarding, and educational experience in the outdoors for your group at our Candlestick Point Native Plant Nursery in Bayview, our satellite Nursery on Treasure Island, or in Candlestick Point State Recreation Area (CPSRA).

Corporate employees and other groups benefit from workdays outsides of the office. Our program helps build collaboration between employees. A workday at LEJ helps build trust, comradery, and leadership skills. Additionally, employee service programs help workers feel that they are not only contributing to the success of your company, but also helping restore local habitats, and preserving the unique biodiversity of San Francisco.

Activities include nursery maintenance, plant care, Nursery and Environmental Justice Tour, and ecological restoration at Sunrise Point, the land surrounding the new campsites at CPSRA. We can provide projects that are customized to your group’s needs.

We can host groups as small as 10 participants or as many as 50.

The suggested donation for our Team Building Program is $25 for each participant. This donation supports our supplies, staff time, and programming costs.

Some of the companies that have taken part in a team-building workday at LEJ include DocuSign, Dolby Laboratories, Genentech, Google, Levi Strauss & Co, Lotus Water, Moody’s, Triage Consulting, and Visa.
