Eco-Adventures

Literacy for Environmental Justice

Eco-Adventures is an environmental education program that offers service-learning, and outdoor recreation for youth between the ages of 9 to 18. It is designed to address disparities in access to nature and to offer health and fitness lifestyle choices among youth. Offered in collaboration with local teachers, activities include kayaking and camping trips, guided plant walks and environmental justice tours and schools. Each year, hundreds of youth enjoy place-based, hands-on, formative learning experiences at Candlestick Point State Recreation Area.

If you would like to bring your community or school group to the campsites at Candlestick Point State Recreation Area with Literacy For Environmental Justice, please contact Russ Aguilar russ.aguilar@lejyouth.org.
