Volunteer with LEJ!

Our conservation and restoration projects on the southeast bayfront shoreline depend on hundreds of volunteers every year — come join us!

Monthly LEJ Volunteer Opportunities:

Candlestick Pt. SRA Native Plant Nursery and Community Garden
First Saturday of every month, 10 am – 1 pm
Nursery volunteers grow native plant stock for restoration projects in Candlestick Point State Recreation Area and help out with special projects.

Second Saturday of every month, 9 am - 1 pm

Volunteers work in the field restoring the wetlands at Yosemite Slough and three other sites at Candlestick Pt. SRA.

Wear appropriate clothing; gloves and tools provided. All ages welcome.

Directions: The nursery is at 1150 Carroll Ave. (Ranger Station); take 29 Muni bus to the Gilman Playground stop.  Follow Gilman toward the stadium and make a left on Aurelious Walker, which loops around and becomes Carroll Ave. Click for Map.
